Dance me to the end of love
Performance, minimum 2 hours
Collaboration with Alexandre Bourit
A collective and participatory dance, a "Simon Says" dance in which the role of leader is passed on by a benevolent pat on the shoulder. The audience chooses to take part in the dance or remain spectators. During nearly two hours of music played live by Alexandre Bourit, Ennio Morricone's "Scuola di ballo al sole" returns like a gimmick. From the village ball to the techno-trance party, the notes follow one another and repeat themselves. Performed in various venues since 2016, Dance me to the end of love is an experience imagined from a scene in Pier Paolo Pasolini's film Birds Big and Small and recalling Sydney Pollack's dance competition until death in They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

Performance 90 min, collaboration with Oguri and Paul Chavez, Los Angeles
"Grand Park is teaming up with the French Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX) to present an international collaboration and dance performance by French video and performing artist Lola Gonzàlez and Los Angeles-based artists, choreographer Oguri and composer Paul Chavez. Inspired by the complex landscape of the city, the trailblazing performance entails a traveling processional, which tackles ideas of community, collaboration and the impact of urban living. Sixty performers, a mix of professionals and nonprofessionals, will set off from several distinct locations throughout Los Angeles. Echoing recent unrest in this country and the world, the groups will march through the corridors of Downtown to gather together at the iconic Grand Park for an epic performance, punctuated by individual actions and gestures as each participant acts out their role."
